The meeting, held at the Hotel El Mirador, was attended by the vice-president of the Board and Minister of Tourism of the Cabildo, Marlene Figueroa, along with representatives from Viajes El Corte Inglés, TUI, Jet2, Easyjet Holidays, and DerTouristik.
The meeting was technical in nature and focused on contrasting the operators' demand forecasts with Fuerteventura's regular air connectivity. The objective was to identify the destination's strengths and areas for improvement in the coming months, considering the feedback from these operators' clients in various source markets.
This meeting is part of the Board's ongoing work with tour operators to understand demand trends in source markets and identify potential adjustments in destination promotion.
Marlene Figueroa emphasized the importance of firsthand knowledge of how tour operators and their clients evaluate Fuerteventura's offerings to make informed decisions. "These meetings allow us to contrast our vision of the destination with the real market perception," she stated.
The minister also highlighted that the winter season is strategic for the island and that working collaboratively with operators distributing Fuerteventura in Europe allows for anticipating which aspects to reinforce and where there is room for improvement.
The meeting facilitated the exchange of information on winter season prospects and factors that could influence the demand for Fuerteventura in European markets.
