An emergency health team assisted a total of 169 migrants this Tuesday after they arrived independently at the port of La Estaca, on the island of El Hierro, aboard a cayuco.

Sources from the Canary Islands Government's Coordination Center for Security and Emergencies (Cecoes 112) confirmed that the alert was received around 9:30 AM this Tuesday, originating from Cecopin in El Hierro.
As the vessel reached the shore directly without requiring a sea rescue, maritime resources from Salvamento were not needed. Nevertheless, the standard onshore health assistance protocol was immediately activated.
This response team included personnel from the Canarian Emergency Service, Primary Care, and the Red Cross, who provided the necessary aid to the new arrivals. Cecoes 112 reported that no transfers to medical centers were required.
