The Councilor for Education, Abigail González, highlighted that the Municipal Nursery School aims to be more than just a childcare facility. "We want it to be an educational environment where every child can develop with equal opportunities and where potential special needs can be detected and addressed as early as possible." She added, "Therefore, one of the aspects we wanted to enhance is precisely the attention to diversity, incorporating professionals with specific training to support students from a very young age and work in coordination with families."
For his part, Echedey Eugenio, deputy mayor and head of Procurement, stated that this award ensures the continuity of the service with improvements in both the service itself and the resources allocated to the children. The contract has an annual amount of 528,000 euros, with an initial period of one year and the possibility of up to three successive one-year extensions, allowing for a maximum duration of four years. The service is scheduled to commence on November 1, 2026.
