The Arrecife City Council has given final approval to the regulatory bases for direct economic housing aid, aimed at facilitating access to decent housing.

These subsidies will focus on two main areas: on one hand, specific funds are allocated for property rehabilitation; on the other, funds will be made available to cover rentals in cases of unforeseen loss of habitual residence.
The aid is intended for individuals residing in the municipality who meet requirements such as proof of social need, a minimum period of residency registration, property ownership or sufficient legal standing, and insufficient financial resources to cover necessary works.
The processing will be carried out through direct concession, with the involvement of the technical and social services of the Housing Department, who will issue the necessary reports to evaluate each application.

"With these aids, we want to stand by the families of Arrecife, especially those facing greater economic difficulties or unforeseen situations that jeopardize their residential stability."

Rosmen Quevedo · Arrecife's Councilor for Housing

"We are talking about measures that improve quality of life, help maintain homes in better condition, and offer a temporary solution to those who, through no fault of their own, need support to cope with the cost of temporary accommodation or alternative housing."

Rosmen Quevedo · Arrecife's Councilor for Housing
The Arrecife City Council has already published the bases in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas and on the municipal notice board. The Housing Department encourages interested parties to consult the requirements and prepare the necessary documentation to apply for these aids once the application period opens.
