Arrecife Celebrates San Ginés with Afternoon Events, Folklore, and La Guardia

The San Ginés Festivities in Arrecife continue this Thursday with two simultaneous afternoon events and on Friday with the concert by La Guardia and the XXXII Folklore Festival.

The San Ginés Festivities in Arrecife offer this Thursday, August 20th, two musical events starting at 7:00 PM. The Parque José Ramírez Cerdá will host the 'Tardeo Joven' featuring DJ Javi Fajardo and Cuban artist Idel El Mulatiko. Simultaneously, Avenida Vargas will be the stage for 'Tardeo con Parrandas', with the participation of Gurfines son los del Puerto, La Aldaba, and P’al Porrón, groups known for traditional Canarian music.
The program for Friday, August 21st, includes 'El Guateque' on Avenida Vargas at 7:00 PM, featuring songs from past decades by DJ Maxi Ferrer. At 9:00 PM, the group La Guardia will perform a concert, followed by the XXXII Folklore Festival of Arrecife at Parque José Ramírez Cerdá (Parque Viejo).
The XXXII Folklore Festival will feature the Agrupación Folclórica Coros y Danzas de Arrecife, the Agrupación Folclórica Maxorata from Fuerteventura, and the Asociación Cultural Tajaraste from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, bringing together expressions of Canarian folklore.
