The Arrecife City Council has launched the '¡Qué bien me sabe Arrecife!' campaign with a cultural day at the Traditional Market to promote local produce and the traditions of Lanzarote.
The municipality of Arrecife, through its Department of Commerce, has initiated the '¡Qué bien me sabe Arrecife!' campaign. This initiative aims to encourage the consumption of local products, boost commercial activity, and highlight the cultural traditions of the island of Lanzarote.
The first event took place on May 23rd at the Traditional Market in Plaza de Las Palmas. It featured the participation of the Parranda Marinera de Buches and Coros y Danzas de Arrecife, two prominent groups representing the island's popular heritage.

"This initiative aims to bring local products and our traditions closer to the citizens, while also generating movement and dynamism in commercial spaces as important for Arrecife as the Traditional Market."
The Mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, emphasized the initiative's goal of connecting citizens with local products and traditions, thereby driving activity in key commercial areas like the Traditional Market. Future plans include the opening of La Recova as a market and gastronomic zone, and a renewed project for La Pescadería Municipal.
The Municipal Government of Arrecife seeks to consolidate the area around Plaza de Las Palmas, near the San Ginés church, as a gastronomic, commercial, and hospitality hub, enhancing the space where local producers sell their goods every Saturday.

"The '¡Qué bien me sabe Arrecife!' program is born with the objective of uniting gastronomy, commerce, and local culture, creating activities that allow us to value our roots while simultaneously supporting local trade and proximity products."
The Councilor for Commerce, Eli Merino, explained that the campaign integrates gastronomy, commerce, and culture, promoting local roots and supporting proximity products.
This action is part of the project «Enhancing and Promoting Local Production and Consumption», funded by a grant from the Cabildo Insular de Lanzarote. The objective is to strengthen the link between tradition, commerce, gastronomy, and local produce.
In the coming weeks, the '¡Qué bien me sabe Arrecife!' campaign will feature various cultural, gastronomic, and promotional activities in different parts of the municipality, aiming to enhance commercial dynamism and the visibility of products from Arrecife and Lanzarote.
