The Madrid-based company Sportmadness Eventos has been selected by the Arrecife City Council to organize the commemorative events for Canary Islands Day, which will take place on May 29th and 30th.

The commercial entity Sportmadness Eventos, based in Madrid, has been chosen by the Arrecife City Council to organize the events for Canary Islands Day. These events will be held in a tent located next to the Cabildo headquarters.
The contract amounts to just over 101,500 euros, a considerably lower sum than in previous years, when Canary Islands Day celebrations were held on a larger scale at José Ramírez Cerdá park. This budget reduction may be influenced by the ongoing judicial investigation into events sponsored by the Council, marked by fragmentations and intervention objections.
The main setup will occupy an area of 1,200 square meters, in the vicinity of the main Cabildo building.
The selected company, which was the sole bidder to submit a timely offer, will be responsible for developing the activity program, contracting infrastructure and technical services, coordinating suppliers and human resources, as well as technical production, logistics, dissemination, and the creation of a final report. Subsequently, they must remove the material in early June.
