“

"It is important to thank the work of so many women who have dedicated their lives to supporting their families, working the land, and keeping our traditions alive, and to do so in a place so linked to our history as Betancuria. A history that has been built with the daily work of women."

The event also featured musical performances by Domingo Saavedra and Marey Martín, and was attended by neighbors, friends, and family of the honorees, who shared in the recognition of these women.
