The event, which has established itself as a cultural benchmark on the island, began with a parade by the Corumba batucada, which traveled through the town's streets to reach the coast. The musical program on the main stage started with local acts and continued with a diverse range of international rhythms.
The day stood out for its variety of styles, ranging from alternative flamenco to urban fusion. Among the most notable moments, the performance by Nigerian musician Femi Kuti drew a large part of the audience, reinforcing the international character of this cultural event.
The first night concluded with a performance by the band Eskorzo, who used the stage to commemorate their three decades of musical career. The music will continue this Saturday with a schedule that includes both daytime activities in various locations in El Cotillo and evening concerts.
