The CIT of Puerto de la Cruz presents the 53rd Bavarian Week, taking place from August 23rd to 30th, culminating in a three-day Oktoberfest at the Muelle Esplanade.

The Center for Initiatives and Tourism (CIT) of Puerto de la Cruz has officially launched the 53rd Bavarian Week – Oktoberfest Puerto de la Cruz. This celebration, one of the longest-running German-inspired events in the Canary Islands, will run from August 23rd to 30th, reinforcing the ties between the Canary Islands and Germany through culture and tourism.
The program will extend across various locations in the municipality, featuring Bavarian music, gastronomy, and traditions. From August 28th to 30th, the Muelle Esplanade will host the Oktoberfest Puerto de la Cruz, offering live music, German food, and Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier.
Ulrike Schmidt, president of CIT Puerto de la Cruz, highlighted the event's historical significance and thanked the institutions and collaborators. This edition will include music from Germany, culinary offerings, street parades, and the return of Dogtoberfest.
The presentation was attended by representatives from the Puerto de la Cruz City Council, Turismo de Tenerife, Viajes Canarias Europa, and INCABE (representing Paulaner), among others.
The Bavarian Week aims to bring the celebration throughout the city, with activities such as a concert at the Lago Martiánez, street parades, and a concert at the Terraza Mirador Costa Martiánez, in addition to the traditional Loro Parque Train Tour.
Arno Richartz, CEO of Viajes Canarias Europa, emphasized the event's importance as a link to the German market and an opportunity to promote the municipality as a tourist destination, highlighting the collaboration between the sector and local businesses.
On Sunday, August 30th, Dogtoberfest will return, a day designed for families to enjoy the Oktoberfest with their dogs, featuring children's workshops and other family-oriented activities.
The CIT has stressed that the 53rd edition is the result of collective effort and collaboration among public institutions, private companies, and associations, thanking the support of Viajes Canarias Europa, Schauinsland-Reisen, Paulaner, and the Macaronesian Group.
The organization also announced a social component, providing visibility and support to associations and foundations in Puerto de la Cruz.
