These new services are integrated into the existing island network, aiming to facilitate the use of electric vehicles for both residents and visitors. The Department of Industry of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura is leading this initiative, which seeks to modernize and expand the charging infrastructure throughout the island territory.
Among the additions, a 50-kilowatt fast-charging point stands out, located on the central Eustaquio Gopar street in Tuineje, opposite the Town Hall. This high-power station significantly reduces waiting times and facilitates long-distance travel, representing a qualitative leap for the network.
Additionally, three medium-slow charging terminals of 22 kilowatts have been installed in Antigua (Alcalde Montesdeoca Cabrera street), Gran Tarajal (Atis Tirma street), and Costa Calma (Hapag-Lloyd avenue). These points are designed for convenience charging, allowing users to power their vehicles while running errands or enjoying commercial and leisure areas.
“"It is important to advance with the island's electric vehicle charging network, as part of this institution's commitment to energy transition. The new additions modernize and expand a network that contributes to cleaner and more efficient mobility."
