The Canarian Foundation for Neurodevelopmental Disorders Support (Funteac) organized a school walk in Fuerteventura to raise autism awareness, gathering around 500 students in Puerto del Rosario.

To mark World Autism Awareness Day, celebrated every April 2, the Canarian Foundation for Neurodevelopmental Disorders Support (Funteac) launched the First Insular School Walk for Autism in Fuerteventura. This event, held last Thursday in Puerto del Rosario, aimed to foster social and educational awareness regarding diversity.
The activity focused on promoting essential values such as respect, empathy, and inclusion from early childhood. Funteac's initiative brought together approximately 500 students from various educational centers across the island.

Respect, love, inclusion: happy journey through life

Participants walked along the maritime avenue of the capital of Fuerteventura, accompanied by socio-cultural animators and children's characters. Additionally, inclusive resources, such as adapted transport for people with reduced mobility (PMR), were provided to ensure accessibility for all attendees.
