Fuerteventura Hosts First-Ever Women's First Division Match

The Municipal Stadium of Los Pozos will host the match between Costa Adeje Tenerife and RCD Espanyol on July 29th, marking a milestone for women's football on the island.

The island of Fuerteventura will be the stage for an unprecedented event, hosting a Women's First Division match for the first time on July 29th at the Municipal Stadium of Los Pozos.

Thanks to the initiative of Coral Hotels, the island of Fuerteventura will debut in Spain's top women's football league with the clash between Costa Adeje Tenerife and RCD Espanyol. The match is scheduled for 6:15 PM.
This event, aimed at promoting elite sports, equality, and social roots, is part of a week of intense sporting and community activities. The Coral Cotillo Beach hotel will serve as the preparation center for the Tenerife squad, hosting training sessions at its facilities and at the El Cotillo Football Field.
Beyond the competition, Coral Hotels and Costa Adeje Tenerife are reinforcing their social commitment. 40 free spots will be offered for local girls to train with professional players, actively fostering young talent in Fuerteventura.
The organization is supported by the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, the Foundation of the Interinsular Football Federation of Las Palmas (FIFLP), the La Oliva City Council, and the Puerto del Rosario City Council.
