The island of Fuerteventura will be the venue for the III National Timple Encounter, taking place from October 22 to 25, offering a varied program focused on this emblematic instrument.

The event, organized by the Culture Department of the Fuerteventura Island Council with coordination from the National Timple Association, aims to enhance the value of the timple and consolidate its recognition as a fundamental part of the musical heritage and cultural identity of the Canary Islands.
The training program, which includes workshops and masterclasses, will be held at the Fuerteventura Insular Music School, located at the Palace of Training and Congresses. On Thursday, October 22, at 5:00 PM, Adán Moreno will lead a workshop on creating timples with recycled materials. On Saturday, October 24, at 10:00 AM, Derque Martín will offer a masterclass on basic timple playing, followed at 12:00 PM by Pedro Ageno, who will focus on improvisation. Finally, on Sunday, October 25, at 5:00 PM, Domingo El Colorao will conduct a masterclass on traditional strumming.
Registration for these training activities is now open via an online form. The rest of the program, which will include talks, an exhibition on timple construction, publication presentations, a roundtable discussion with timple players and luthiers, and various musical performances, will be announced soon.
The main objective of the III National Timple Encounter is to continue promoting this instrument, encourage its learning and dissemination, and create a meeting space for Canarian music and traditions.
