The Cabildo of Fuerteventura presents a special collection of artisanal silver hoops and pendants, inspired by the image of the Virgen de la Peña, the island's patron saint, for the festivities in her honor.

The pieces, handcrafted by master goldsmith Víctor Álamo from Tindaya jewelry, are based on a design registered by the Cabildo of Fuerteventura. Each piece aims to reflect the history, tradition, and devotion associated with the patron saint, uniting craftsmanship, heritage, and Majorero identity.
The president of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, Lola García, highlighted that the collection allows people to "carry with them a small symbol of that tradition and that special bond we have with our patron saint," a fundamental part of the identity of generations of Majoreros.
For his part, the Minister of Culture, Rayco León, noted that the initiative brings heritage closer to citizens through craftsmanship and contemporary creation, keeping alive a symbol deeply rooted in the island's culture.
These ornamental pieces combine Majorero identity with contemporary artisanal creation, transforming the image of the Virgen de la Peña into a jewel with significant symbolic value, designed to be worn as a symbol of the island and to maintain the connection with its roots.
The collection will initially have a limited run, with plans for new productions once the first units are sold out, ensuring more people can acquire these pieces.
The hoops and pendants will be available at the Museos Fuerteventura kiosk, located on Primero de Mayo street, opposite the Cabildo, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Purchases can only be made by card payment.
Through this initiative, Museos Fuerteventura aims to bring heritage closer to citizens, offering a representative symbol of Majorero tradition in an artisanal piece for daily wear or as a special souvenir from the Fiestas de La Peña.
