The ‘In Situ’ initiative, part of the ‘EnRedArte’ program, aims to provide specialized training to individuals with advanced skills in artisanal trades. The goal is for participants to learn directly from experienced artisans in their own workshops, promoting practical and personalized learning.
This method facilitates the acquisition of key competencies for the integration of new talents into the artisanal sector. Currently, workshops are being held in patchwork-almazuela, taught by artisan Bianca Escarpari, and leatherwork, led by artisan Felipe Bobadilla.
The training is based on a direct relationship between master and apprentice, allowing content to be adapted to individual needs and delving into both technical aspects and the knowledge required for professional practice of the trade.
“"The Cabildo de Fuerteventura continues to work on the transmission and preservation of artisanal trades, ensuring that the knowledge accumulated by generations of artisans remains alive and reaches new professionals."
The insular Corporation is committed to strengthening a network of workshops as spaces for learning and transmission, guaranteeing the continuity of craftsmanship in Fuerteventura and its adaptation for new generations.
