The Fuerteventura Airport will benefit from a state investment of 153 million euros as part of the Airport Regulation Document (DORA) 2027-2031, approved by the Council of Ministers.

The Council of Ministers has greenlit the Airport Regulation Document (DORA) for the 2027-2031 period, which includes a global investment of nearly 13 billion euros across the Spanish airport network managed by Aena. Of this amount, 1.807 billion euros will be specifically allocated to the airports in the Canary Islands.
For the Fuerteventura Airport specifically, the planned investment totals 153 million euros. These works will encompass the expansion of the terminal area, upgrades to the automated baggage handling and inspection system, new boarding bridges and aircraft service equipment for the new terminal building, the construction of a new control tower, an apron expansion, and the installation of a new ILS/DME system to aid landings.
