Hundreds of students from Fuerteventura, from infant to primary levels, participated in the first day of the Fuerteventura Agricultural, Livestock, and Fishing Fair (FEAGA), where they explored the primary sector through guided tours and interactive workshops.

The inaugural day of FEAGA welcomed numerous schoolchildren, who were received by representatives of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura. The main objective of this initiative is to spark the interest of younger generations in agricultural, livestock, and fishing activities, thus ensuring generational replacement in the sector.
During their visit, the students had the opportunity to tour the nurseries and the olive oil mill at the Pozo Negro Experimental Farm. They also witnessed threshing demonstrations with donkeys and native cows, as well as sheep shearing. A commented exhibition of the Canarian bovine breed also captured their attention, complemented by a tasting workshop of local products from Fuerteventura.
The youngest participants also enjoyed demonstrations of traditional sports and games, part of the ‘No Olvides Lo Nuestro’ program by the Cabildo's Department of Sports. Thanks to the collaboration of the Government of Canarias, through Gestión del Medio Rural de Canarias, the schoolchildren participated in workshops dedicated to valuing local products, enriching their experience and knowledge about the island's wealth.
