The incident occurred at 07:31 AM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, when the 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert about the event. After classifying the call, the information was transferred to the relevant sectors.
Personnel from the Extinction and Rescue Service of La Oliva secured the involved vehicle, confirming that no one was trapped inside.
The Canary Emergency Service (SUC) deployed a medicalized ambulance and a basic life support ambulance. Upon arrival, medical staff assessed and treated the affected individuals.
Among the injured is a 3-year-old minor with moderate contusions, who was transported by basic ambulance to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura. A woman, also with moderate contusions, was evacuated by a medicalized ambulance to the same hospital.
Additionally, a 48-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man sustained several moderate contusions and were transported by basic ambulance to the General Hospital of Fuerteventura.
The Local Police attended the scene to regulate traffic and prepare the corresponding report.
