The General Directorate of Blood Donation and Hemotherapy of the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS) continues to facilitate blood donation through an extensive network of mobile units and extraction rooms that will visit various municipalities and public spaces in Tenerife and Gran Canaria. The SCS emphasizes that regular blood donation, at least twice a year, is crucial for maintaining adequate reserves to meet hospital needs for patients requiring transfusions due to surgeries, accidents, cancer treatments, and other conditions.
This weekend, donor services will be reinforced in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, and La Palma. In Gran Canaria, donations can be made at the Gran Canaria Dr. Negrín University Hospital and the mobile unit at Plaza de San Gregorio. In Tenerife, a mobile unit will be at Leroy Merlin Adeje, and the Canary Islands University Hospital and Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital will also have donation points with specific hours. La Palma's General University Hospital of La Palma will offer donation services.
Next week, Tenerife will host donation campaigns in Adeje (Leroy Merlin and Costa Adeje Development and Tourism Center), Tacoronte (main road opposite the post office), La Orotava (La Villa Shopping Center), and San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Cathedral square). The El Trompo Commercial Center will maintain its donation room operational throughout the week. On Saturday, a mobile unit will be located in La Orotava, Carrera de Escultor Estévez street, where a workshop on blood groups will be held.
In Gran Canaria, donation activities will extend to various locations in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Atlantic Middle University in Tafira and its street Canalejas campus, CIFP San Cristóbal, Las Rehoyas Park, Canary Employment Service, Canódromo Park), Santa María de Guía (Fernando Pessoa University), San Agustín (ELMASA II), Agüimes (ELMASA in the Polígono Industrial de Arinaga), Telde (Alcampo Shopping Center donation room), and Santa Lucía de Tirajana (fixed point in Vecindario). The Las Arenas Shopping Center will also host a mobile unit on Friday.

La Palma's fixed point is at the General University Hospital of La Palma. In La Gomera, donations are available at the Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Hospital, and in El Hierro, at the Nuestra Señora de los Reyes Insular Hospital.
