The pontiff, Leo XIV, will commence his historic visit to the Canary Islands with his arrival at the Gando air base in Gran Canaria.

He will then proceed to the Arguineguín Pier. There, he will hold a significant meeting with migrants, as well as with workers and volunteers who support them.

The schedule continues with a meeting with the clergy and pastoral agents of the Diocese of Gran Canaria at the iconic Santa Ana Cathedral.

The day will conclude with a solemn mass at the Gran Canaria Stadium, before the pontiff travels to Tenerife.
