The Copa Fundación La Caja de Canarias enters its most exciting phase, with the first and second leg semifinals in the First Category. This Thursday, Castillo and Almogarén will face off in Sardina del Sur at 9:00 PM in the first bout to reach the final. Almogarén, the regular season leader, will seek to prevail over a Castillo team that has not scored any points, relying on their 'tumbador' Álvaro Déniz.
Meanwhile, Unión Gáldar is one step away from becoming the first finalist after their 11-12 victory in the first leg against Castro Morales in Lomo Cementerio. Antonio Martel's team will look to seal their passage at the Municipal de Gáldar this Friday at 9:00 PM, counting on the support of their fans and the outstanding performance of Alberto Zamora. Castro Morales, for its part, will rely on Yenedey Gil to try to turn the situation around.
In the Second Category, the penultimate round, played entirely on Friday at 9:00 PM, could define the semifinal participants. Unión Agüimes, leading with 18 points, could secure their top spot if they defeat Santa Rita in Las Crucitas, provided that Los Guanches (second with 16 points) do not win against Maninidra. The fight for second and fourth place remains open, with Roque Nublo tied on points with Maninidra.
Finally, the Third Category will also experience intense matchdays. This Thursday at 9:00 PM, Castro Morales B and Tinamar will meet in Lomo Cementerio in a key duel for first place. On Friday, Unión Sardina will host Ajódar at the Municipal de Vecindario in a direct confrontation for the semifinals, while Adargoma and Vecinos Unidos will close the day in La Presa.
