The decision, made by the General Directorate of Emergencies, is based on information from the State Meteorological Agency and other available sources, and is implemented under the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Risks of Adverse Meteorological Phenomena (PEFMA). The affected territorial scope includes the islands of El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, and Tenerife, as well as the north of the island of Gran Canaria.
The appearance of stormy activity, which could be local and occasionally intense, is expected from the late afternoon of Saturday, October 31st. The highest probability of initial impact is focused on La Palma and El Hierro, progressively moving eastward to reach La Gomera, Tenerife, and the north of Gran Canaria from the morning of Sunday, November 1st. During Monday, November 2nd, the possibility of storms will persist on the islands of El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, and Tenerife.
Due to the high uncertainty regarding the position and movement of the stormy activity, changes are not ruled out. The General Directorate of Emergencies will continue to monitor the situation and does not rule out possible impacts on other islands of the archipelago.
