The decision, announced by the Directorate General of Emergencies, is based on information from the State Meteorological Agency and other available sources, in accordance with the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands for Adverse Weather Phenomena Risks (PEFMA).
The measure specifically affected the eastern, southern, and western areas of Gran Canaria, as well as the entire island of La Gomera. As the adverse weather conditions that prompted the initial alert have ceased, it has been lifted.
