Following a challenging run of results, the yellow team managed to bounce back with significant victories against Bàsquet Girona on April 25 and, subsequently, against Unicaja in Málaga. These wins have boosted the team's morale and confidence as they strive to consolidate their position in Spain's top basketball league.
Despite a recent defeat to Barça at the Palau Blaugrana, the club's sports management is focused on long-term planning. In this context, negotiations are underway for the renewal of an Argentine forward, who is completing his sixth season on the island across two stints, and a French power forward, who has spent three seasons playing for the yellow jersey.
Both players have received proposals to remain part of the project for the upcoming 2026-2027 season. The Argentine forward, aged 33 and standing 2.05 meters tall, has averaged 10.7 points and 3.6 rebounds in the Liga Endesa, while the French power forward, also 33 and 2.05 meters tall, has recorded 9.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in the same competition.
The island club, finding itself in an unusual position fighting for league survival, is seeking short-term solutions to enhance its competitiveness, including the addition of new talents such as an American point guard and the search for a center, all while ensuring the stability of its current roster.
