Representatives from the Holy See conducted an inspection on the island this Monday to assess the details of the events planned for the upcoming visit of Pope Leo XIV.
The delegation traveled to the port of Arguineguín, the location for the pontiff's first meeting with over 2,000 people, including migrants and assistance personnel for arriving vessels.
Subsequently, the delegation visited the facilities of the Gran Canaria Arena and the Estadio de Gran Canaria in Siete Palmas. The latter will host a large mass starting at 6:30 PM, with over 50,000 people already registered.
Attendees unable to access the stadium due to capacity limits will be able to follow the mass via screens installed at the Arena and the Anexo.
