Gran Canaria Council President Antonio Morales and Sports Counselor Aridany Romero appear with Sitapha Savané to detail the club's roadmap after the team's relegation.

The Cabildo de Gran Canaria (Island Council) presented its future strategy for the Gran Canaria Basketball Club this Monday, following the team's recent relegation. At a press conference held on the island, the council president, Antonio Morales, and Sports Counselor, Aridany Romero, were joined by the club's president, Sitapha Savané, to outline the upcoming plans.
The presentation follows the crucial defeat of the claret team in Valencia last Friday, which sealed their relegation. The match, played at the Roig Arena against Valencia Basket, ended with a score of 105-81, marking one of the most decisive moments in the club's recent history.
It is anticipated that Sitapha Savané will announce his resignation from the remaining year of his contract, aiming not to hinder the reconstruction of the yellow team's sporting project. Further information is expected soon.
