The III Subida a Puntallana crowned Carlos A. Pérez and Joel Triana as winners in their respective categories. Pérez dominated the open-wheel cars with his Speed Car GT 1000, while Triana secured victory in touring cars aboard his Skoda Fabia R5.

The third edition of the Subida a Puntallana, organized by Escudería La Palma Isla Bonita, took place this Saturday, August 29. The event, which counts towards the provincial and island championships, saw Carlos A. Pérez and Joel Triana confirm their favorite status.
Carlos A. Pérez, driving his Speed Car GT 1000, achieved his third consecutive victory on this mountain climb. His time of 3:56.232 in Race 1 gave him a margin of over three seconds against Alexander Kurt (BRC B49), who finished second. Samuel Rodríguez (BRC 02) completed the podium.
In the touring car category, Joel Triana dominated from start to finish with his Skoda Fabia R5, setting the best time of the day in his class with 3:58.214 on his final attempt. This win allows him to strengthen his lead in the island championship, mirroring Pérez's position in his category.
The reigning champion of La Palma, Antonio José Pérez, took second place in touring cars with his Seat León Supercopa MKII, 5.293 seconds behind the winner. Pedro David Martín (Citroën Xsara Proto) secured his first podium as a duo, finishing third, ahead of Carlos A. Martín (Honda Integra Type R), winner of Class 6, and Juan Lorenzo Fernández (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX), last year's winner.
In other classifications, Julián González finished sixth and first in Class 4 with his Honda Civic, while Alexis Rodríguez (Honda Civic EG) won in Class 5.
Within the 'Deportes Cabildo de La Palma' Mountain Initiation Championship, Jordan Brito (Citroën Saxo VTS) took first place, closely followed by Luis A. Pérez (Honda Civic) and Carlos Vicente González (Renault Clio Cup R).
The event was supported by the Puntallana City Council, the Cabildo de La Palma, and various entities including Skoda and Fred. Olsen Express.
