The Gran Canaria squad demonstrated its superiority throughout the competition, starting Saturday with a remarkable performance in the road race in Jover. In the male cadet category, they achieved a historic triple with Néstor Herrera as champion, followed by Pablo Álvarez and Ayose Robaina. In the female junior category, Sara Quintero took the victory, while in the male junior category, Javier Rodríguez secured second place.
The collective dominance was evident across all male junior categories, with David Bolaños (4th), Héctor Alfaya (6th), and Tanausú Hernández (8th) earning important points for the team. The U23 category also witnessed the strength of the Gran Canaria Bike Team, with Daniel Lado becoming champion and Alberto González achieving second place, completing an outstanding performance alongside Alberto Pérez (4th), Agustín Martín (7th), and Matías Peñate.
Sunday's events, featuring the Individual Time Trial (ITT) in Los Silos over 10.3 km, reaffirmed the team's excellent form. In the male cadet category, the triple was repeated, with Néstor Herrera crowned Canary Islands CRI champion with an impressive time of 14:53, again followed by Pablo Álvarez and Ayose Robaina. The team's depth was evident with the performances of Asier Álvarez (5th), Óscar Darias (7th), Álvaro Gómez (12th), and José Javier Mena (19th).
In the female cadet category, Valeria Leal achieved a commendable third place. Sara Quintero shone again in the female junior category, repeating her victory and securing the Canary Islands CRI champion title. The male junior category saw David Bolaños (2nd) and Javier Rodríguez (3rd) on the podium, once again demonstrating the team's strength.
