The team, led by its coach, faced the challenge of overcoming a five-goal deficit from the first leg (24-19). The squad displayed character and intensity, backed by their fans at the Antonio Moreno pavilion, to clinch a 25-19 victory.
From the outset, Rocasa set its pace, even playing with one player less after an early exclusion. Despite falling behind initially, the players quickly reacted, finding attacking solutions and maintaining a solid defense to level the score in the early stages.
Atticgo BM Elche attempted to slow the game with long possessions, but Rocasa broke this strategy with fast ball movement and vertical offense. Several players stood out in attack, while the goalkeeper began making crucial saves, including one from a seven-meter shot.
The team from Telde grew in confidence, fueled by the crowd's support, reaching a 14-10 lead at halftime, leaving the tie wide open. After the break, Rocasa made a decisive push, leveling and then taking the lead in the tie with highly effective offensive play.
The Gran Canaria team built a lead of up to seven goals, thanks to the accuracy of several players, including the top scorer with five goals, and the impact of another in counterattacks. Defensively, Rocasa showed great solidity, even resisting during periods of numerical inferiority.
“"This is a fortress. I want to thank the people not only for this match, but for all those who come to see us. What better farewell than to keep going. We are still alive."
“"We played a brilliant game. Now it's time to enjoy, because very demanding challenges are coming, but with the work, effort, joy, and impetus that the team has shown, things can turn out very well."
With this victory, Rocasa Gran Canaria advances to the playoff semifinals, where they will face Costa del Sol Málaga, who overcame their quarter-final tie against Replasa Beti-Onak.
