Power forward Eric Vila has decided not to continue with Dreamland Gran Canaria after exercising the release clause in his contract, making him free to sign with another team for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.

The Catalan player, who arrived last summer of 2025 from Río Breogán, played a total of 37 games this season across both the Liga Endesa and the Basketball Champions League. His departure follows that of Andrew Albicy, who also concluded his tenure with the island club after six seasons.
The Gran Canaria club has thanked Eric Vila for his contributions during the 2025-2026 campaign and wished him success in his future personal and professional endeavors.
Concurrently, the organization is working on planning for the 2026-2027 season. The new sporting director, head coach, and the players who will complete the roster are expected to be announced in the coming days. Additionally, the season ticket campaign for the next season will be presented shortly.
