The XXX Gran Canaria North Cycling Tour, returning after 17 years, will be held from July 2nd to 4th with a challenging route on the island.

The XXX Gran Canaria North Cycling Tour, one of the toughest events on the national elite and U23 calendar, is preparing for its return after a seventeen-year absence. The competition, scheduled from July 2nd to 4th, promises intense excitement on the roads of the north and center of the island, bringing together approximately 140 riders.
The race route will unfold over three stages, traversing eleven municipalities within the Mancomunidad del Norte de Gran Canaria. The island's topography is set to be the main arbiter of the competition, with numerous elevation changes and decisive finishes that will test the cyclists' endurance.
Five teams are emerging as the main contenders for victory. The local team, Gran Canaria Bike Team, which knows the terrain perfectly, stands out. They will face established structures such as Oreka IT-Zuia Ingeniería and Eiser Hirumet Cycling Team, representatives of the Basque cycling school. Also among the favorites are Team Oiense-Escuela Estévez from Galicia and Cycling Team El Bicho-Plataforma Central Iberum from Madrid.
The designed route includes an initial uphill time trial between Moya and Fontanales, a demanding stage between Agaete and Teror, and the queen stage starting in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and finishing in Arucas. An intense battle for the yellow jersey is expected on the island's toughest climbs.
