Five players depart CB Gran Canaria

Five North American basketball players, including Mike Tobey and Isaiah Wong, have concluded their contracts with CB Gran Canaria and are now free to pursue new professional opportunities.

The contractual relationships of Mike Tobey, Isaiah Wong, Kassius Robertson, Chimezie Metu, and Brandon Jefferson with the island club have ended. These five players of American origin are now free to continue their sporting careers outside of CB Gran Canaria.
Mike Tobey's tenure on the island concludes after two seasons. The center, originally from New York, arrived at the team in the summer of 2024 and departs having participated in 104 official matches, including competitions such as the Liga Endesa, EuroCup, and Basketball Champions League.
Isaiah Wong joined Gran Canaria in the summer of 2025. During the 25/26 season, he stood out as one of the most influential players, particularly in the final stretch of the championship, where he delivered notable scoring performances. The shooting guard averaged 14.2 points per game in the Liga Endesa.
Meanwhile, Brandon Jefferson, Kassius Robertson, and Chimezie Metu joined the team after the season had already commenced. Robertson participated in 19 Liga Endesa games and also saw minutes in the Basketball Champions League. Metu played 12 league games, averaging 14.1 points, while Jefferson's contribution was limited to the last five Liga Endesa matches.
