Traffic closures will be in effect from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the stretch between kilometer markers 15.7 and 16.8, affecting circulation between the neighborhoods of Cuatro Puertas and Aguatona.
The intervention follows the detection by road maintenance technicians of several large, cracked stones with the potential to fall onto the roadway. The operation aims to prevent incidents and ensure user safety.
Detours will direct traffic from Telde towards Ojos de Garza and the GC-1, while drivers from Ingenio heading to Telde will need to use El Carrizal to reach the GC-1. The Cabildo has informed the affected municipalities and installed preventive signage in the area.
For the rock removal, an excavator will be used to work on the slope, causing the controlled fall of the stones. A layer of earth will be applied as a cushion to absorb the impact and protect the asphalt. Afterward, the road will be cleaned before reopening.
