Giant screens in Gran Canaria to watch Spain-France

The 2026 World Cup semi-final between Spain and France will be experienced this Tuesday in Gran Canaria with giant screen broadcasts organized by several town halls.

The island of Gran Canaria is preparing to experience the 2026 World Cup semi-final between Spain and France this Tuesday, with the installation of giant screens in various municipalities to follow the match in public spaces. These initiatives aim to offer a special atmosphere for fans, complemented in some cases by pre-game activities, live music, and gastronomic proposals.
The match will kick off at 8:00 PM, although programming in several municipalities will start from early afternoon to warm up the atmosphere before the decisive encounter for the Spanish national team.
In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Plaza del Pilar in Guanarteme will host the broadcast, moving the setup that was well-received in the quarter-finals. In Telde, the Plaza de San Gregorio will be the meeting point, opening at 6:30 PM with a giant screen promoted by the Department of Festivals and Fairs. Valsequillo will also have a giant screen in the Plaza de la Barrera, organized by the Area of Culture, Youth, Festivals, and Sports.
Mogán will install two giant screens in Arguineguín: one in the Plaza del Mercadillo (Plaza Negra) and another on José Manuel Santana street. In Gáldar, the Recinto Cultural La Quinta will be set up to follow the match. San Mateo will repeat at the Plaza de la Solidaridad, tripling the number of available chairs and offering activities from 7:00 PM with food trucks and music.
The shopping centers Las Arenas and Los Alisios, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, are also repeating the experience of broadcasting the match on giant screens, following the positive reception of previous encounters. Thousands of fans are expected to gather at these locations to support the Spanish national team on their path to the 2026 World Cup final.
