The cycling team from Gran Canaria, the Gran Canaria Bike Team-EKD, has taken a significant step in its sporting career by competing in the demanding Bidasoa Itzulia 2026. This international event, held in the Basque Country between May 2 and 4, is recognized as one of the major showcases for U23 talent.
The team from the capital attended this high-level event with a block of riders including Cian Aranburu, Peru Garro, Oier Ugartemendia, Haritz Otaegi, Iker Ugartemendia, Matias Peñate, and Daniel Lado, under the race direction of Imanol Isasa. Participation in events of this magnitude is crucial for the island team's growth strategy.
