The festivity, which falls on a Saturday this year, invites residents and visitors to enjoy local culture, gastronomy, and leisure. From the first session of the Parliament of the Canary Islands in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1983 to the Pact of Calatayud in 1481, the date holds deep historical significance for the community.

Although the full program for each municipality has not yet been revealed, some prominent events are already known. In the south of Gran Canaria, the Ocean Club Maspalomas will host the Chacho Pool Party, a celebration featuring live music from well-known island groups, Canarian food, and traditional 'papagüevos'.

The capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, will be the setting for the Festival Canariona in Santa Ana square on May 29, with free admission and performances by local artists. On the same day, Don Benito park in Schamann will host a taifas dance with folk groups.

On May 30, the neighborhood of Caideros in Gáldar will celebrate the traditional Fiesta de la Lana (Wool Festival), featuring sheep shearing and displays of local crafts and products. Additionally, municipalities such as San Mateo, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, and Firgas will organize artisan fairs with local products, music, and gastronomy.

Finally, Holiday World Maspalomas will offer a large traditional family festival, including parades with the Banda de Agaete, 'papagüevos', and children's shows such as Cancionero Isleño.
