The swimwear fashion sector from Gran Canaria has strengthened its commercial reach after participating in the Momad fair, held recently in Madrid with institutional support.

The island delegation, promoted by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through Gran Canaria Moda Cálida and Proexca, aimed to boost the internationalization of local companies. During the event, participating brands presented their latest collections to buyers and industry professionals.
Three local firms stood out in this edition, securing agreements to open new points of sale. These companies used the meeting to showcase their design proposals, which combine island identity with contemporary trends and artisanal manufacturing techniques.
As a novelty, the exhibition space incorporated an immersive experience using virtual reality. This initiative, developed together with the Gran Canaria Chamber of Commerce, allowed attendees to discover the details of Gran Canaria Swim Week, including runway work and the professional atmosphere of the event.
