The expenditure authorized by the Government Council will be used for contracting these services for patients referred by the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS), who have pathologies requiring low-to-medium level of care.
The procurement process will be carried out through an open procedure, framework agreement system, ordinary processing, and subject to harmonized regulation, following the expiration of the previous contract that provided this same service.
The medium-stay hospitalization beds to be tendered by the SCS will be classified into three lots, referencing the health areas of Gran Canaria and Tenerife, with the aim of having additional hospitalization resources for these patients.
The contracting will be carried out through a framework agreement with several awardees, which will set all the terms and conditions for the subsequent contracting of the service by the Health Area Directorates of both islands for a period of four years.
The maximum unit prices for the tender will be established per day of stay in the hospitalization unit, amounting to €197.19 for the first sixty days and €178.03 for admissions exceeding sixty-one days.
