A 24-year-old man was seriously injured this Saturday after the vehicle he was traveling in overturned on the GC-1 highway, near the water treatment plant, in the municipality of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The incident, which was reported to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of the Government of the Canary Islands (1-1-2) at 00:57 AM, mobilized various emergency teams.
The affected individual, who suffered severe polytrauma, was initially assisted by other citizens who freed him from the car. Subsequently, medical resources from the Canarian Emergency Service provided assistance at the scene.
After being stabilized in a medicalized ambulance, the young man was transferred to the Hospital Insular de Gran Canaria for specialized care.
The Firefighters were responsible for securing the vehicle and collaborating with emergency services, while the Civil Guard prepared the corresponding report and regulated traffic in the area. The Roads Service handled the cleaning and reopening of the affected road.
