A new venue in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Normal Burger Bar, has opened its doors with the mission of revaluing the classic hamburger, focusing on simplicity, ingredient quality, and artisanal preparation, moving away from extravagant creations.

The concept behind Normal Burger Bar aims to bring back the classic hamburgers, those enjoyed in traditional bars, moving away from proposals with multiple meat patties, excessive sauces, and flashy presentations. The priority is product quality over its visual appeal for social media.
Located at Calle Fernando Guanarteme 16, the establishment features a minimalist aesthetic with metal tables that encourage interaction among diners. Their work method is agile and efficient, with a small kitchen where only three people prepare orders. Daily production is limited to the amount of fresh ingredients that arrive in the morning, thus guaranteeing maximum quality.
Preparation is entirely artisanal, from the potato bread, which comes directly from the Neodimio60 bakery, to each of the homemade sauces that accompany the meat. The meat itself, along with most ingredients like lettuce and tomato, is purchased fresh daily from the Mercado Central. Even the pickles are cured in-house, ensuring product freshness. A spokesperson for the establishment noted that, although freezing is a valid method, the product always loses some quality.

The menu, though concise, has a distinct personality. It includes the classic hamburger, inspired by the New York style with onion, pickle, and cheese. They also offer a special version that pays homage to the Big Mag, with raw white onion, lettuce, pickles, cheese, and their own sauce. The 'super' hamburger, meanwhile, evokes traditional snacks, adding tomato and onion to the base of meat, cheese, and pickles, accompanied by an artisanal pink sauce, with the option to add egg and bacon. The crispy chicken burger, initially conceived as the special of the month, has quickly become a permanent fixture on the menu due to its success.
Catering to all audiences, Normal Burger Bar has incorporated options for vegetarians and vegans, such as the vegan burger, made with pea protein, cheddar, and vegan mayonnaise. Furthermore, special attention is paid to allergies, offering gluten-free products and special bread for those who need it. All hamburgers can be converted into a meal, including fries or sweet potato fries and a soft drink, as well as complements like cheese balls.
