The incident occurred on Monday, August 24th, in an area of Las Canteras beach where the red flag, a warning of danger, was displayed.
Lifeguards, equipped with rescue gear, entered the water to reach the person. Despite the strong surf, they managed to bring the individual closer to shore and pull them out of the sea after a coordinated effort.
Lifeguards Manu, Joako, Tomás, and Asier participated in the rescue operation. They were also assisted by Javier Ramírez, founder of Guardianes del Mar, who was body surfing nearby and provided support.
