A 60-year-old man has suffered severe multiple injuries after falling three meters into a ravine in the Cazadores area of Telde (Gran Canaria), prompting a large-scale rescue operation.

The incident occurred at 8:48 AM this Thursday when the man, a hunter, fell from a considerable height in an area of difficult access. The severity of the fall and the resulting immobility immediately triggered the activation of the Canary Islands Government's 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES).
A helicopter from the Rescue and Emergency Group (GES) quickly responded to the scene. Rescuers proceeded to hoist the injured man and transported him to the helipad of the Gran Canaria Doctor Negrín University Hospital in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Members of the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium also assisted in the rescue efforts within the ravine.
Upon arrival at the hospital, medical personnel from the Canary Emergency Medical Service (SUC) attended to the man, confirming he had sustained severe multiple traumas. Subsequently, a SUC-equipped ambulance transferred the patient to the Gran Canaria Insular University Hospital for specialized treatment.
Civil Guard, National Police, and local police officers from Telde also participated in the rescue operation and the investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the fall, collaborating with the emergency services.
