The Copa de la Reina final held in Gran Canaria has been an organizational and public success, exceeding expectations and presenting a globally recognized image.

The acting president of the FIFLP, José Juan Arencibia, has expressed his utmost satisfaction following the successful organization of the Copa de la Reina final in Gran Canaria. The event shattered attendance records, drawing over 26,000 spectators. Arencibia lauded the fans as "sensational and exemplary" and emphasized the achievement of the event, which coincided with a crucial UD match in Almería.
Arencibia highlighted the tireless work of the FIFLP staff and the RFEF team, led by Reyes Bellver, Director of Women's Football. "My first gesture was to look at all the members of our federation and raise my fist in triumph," he confessed, moved by the sight of the packed stadium. The event, seen as a "calling card" for the island as a host for the 2030 World Cup, has garnered attention that "will reach UEFA and FIFA."
The island official also extended his gratitude for the fundamental support from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, including Antonio Morales and counselor Aridany Romero, as well as the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council. He mentioned the collaboration of the Canary Islands Government's Ministry of Education in the preceding events, which involved visits to educational centers. "We have once again shown that, together, we are unstoppable and can elevate our land to the highest level with football as a focal point," stated Arencibia, underscoring the event's undeniable economic, social, and institutional impact.
Looking ahead, Arencibia announced that a formal request has been submitted to host the 2031 Women's Champions League final. Furthermore, once the Gran Canaria Stadium is renovated, the island aims to host a men's national team match for the FIFLP's centenary and another women's match, reaffirming the island's capability and resources to stage major sporting events.
