A 22-year-old woman has suffered serious injuries after her car overturned and she became trapped inside early Thursday morning in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, according to the regional Emergency and Security Coordination Center 112.
Firefighters from the capital's Fire Extinction, Rescue, and Salvage Service were responsible for freeing the driver. Subsequently, medical personnel from the Canary Islands Urgency Service (SUC) assisted her and transported her in a medicalized ambulance to Doctor Negrín hospital.
The young woman presented with a serious prognosis due to trauma. The accident took place around 7:00 AM on Concejal García Feo street in the island's capital. Local Police officers also attended the scene to regulate traffic and prepare the corresponding report.
