The La Guancha Interpretation Center, inaugurated on May 18th in Gáldar, has surpassed 500 visits in its first ten days of operation, attracting both domestic and international visitors.

The new museum resource, located in El Agujero, has experienced a significant influx, including visitors from Germany and France, alongside various school group visits. The center, open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, confirms the interest generated by this space dedicated to the history and importance of one of Canary Islands' most significant archaeological sites.
This interpretive center focuses on one of the archipelago's most important archaeological sites, declared a Historic-Artistic Monument in 1949. Its opening is part of the Gáldar City Council's strategy to enhance historical heritage, complementing other cultural and archaeological landmarks in the municipality such as the Cueva Pintada Museum and Archaeological Park and the Agáldar Museum of City History.
Situated on Churruca street in the El Agujero neighborhood, the Interpretation Center aims to explain the La Guancha site and deepen the understanding of the habitat and lifestyle of Gáldar's ancient coastal inhabitants. The building features an aerial walkway connecting to the site's archaeological mounds and includes two sculptures, one donated by Cristóbal Guerra and another representing Princess Tenesoya.
