The incident occurred at 10:09 AM, when personnel from the Tenerife Fire Department responded to the scene. After assessing the situation and determining that a ground rescue was not feasible, they requested the intervention of a helicopter.
The Canary Islands Government's Rescue and Emergency Group (GES) helicopter was dispatched to the area. Rescuers descended from the aircraft and, with the collaboration of firefighters, managed to hoist the young person into the helicopter.
Subsequently, the minor was transported to the helipad in La Guancha. There, medical staff from the Canary Emergency Medical Service (SUC) confirmed the presence of multiple moderate injuries.
Finally, a SUC-equipped ambulance transferred the minor from the helipad to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands for ongoing medical treatment.
Officers from the Local Police and the Civil Guard were also present at the incident site to assist the emergency services.
