The San Juan de la Rambla City Council has secured approval for two significant projects to improve infrastructure in San José, with a total investment of 1,568,627.04 euros, co-financed by the Cabildo of Tenerife.

The Cabildo of Tenerife will finance 90% of the total investment, while the City Council will cover the remaining 10%. The projects, driven by the Municipal Works department, aim to address identified needs in the area, improving basic infrastructure and conditions for safety, accessibility, and pedestrian traffic.
The first intervention will focus on the expansion of the sanitation network in El Lomo and La Portalina streets, with a budget of 590,000 euros. The Cabildo will contribute 531,000 euros and the City Council the remaining 59,000 euros. This project will connect both streets to the existing infrastructure on the TF-351 island road, as part of the plan to improve the area's sanitation system.
The second action, titled “Replacement of Pedestrian Pavements in San José,” has a budget of 978,627.04 euros, of which the Cabildo will finance 880,764.34 euros and the City Council 97,862.70 euros. The work will include the renovation of sidewalks in the Las Monjas urbanization and two sections of the TF-351 road, improving durability, the environment's appearance, and complying with accessibility regulations. Railings will also be replaced on a section of Secundino Hernández García street to enhance safety.
Both projects have an estimated execution period of eight months each, after completing the necessary contracting procedures. The Councilor for Municipal Works, Jonay Méndez, highlighted that the approvals represent significant progress for San José, addressing specific needs related to basic services and pedestrian mobility. Mayor Juan Ramos emphasized the importance of inter-administrative collaboration for undertaking projects of this scale.
