The Cabildo of La Gomera, together with the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (FAUCA), will open the adhesion period on November 3rd for establishments to join the Christmas 2026 Consumption Voucher campaign, under the slogan «Yo Compro en La Gomera».

The initiative's main objective is to boost local commerce purchases during the Christmas season, thereby fostering economic activity across the island's six municipalities: Alajeró, Agulo, Hermigua, Vallehermoso, San Sebastián de La Gomera, and Valle Gran Rey.
Businesses that participated in the previous edition will receive an email with relevant information. New companies interested in joining the campaign can request further details by writing to yocomproenlagomera@fauca.org. Adhesion will be managed through the campaign's official website.
The campaign will provide citizens with over 100,000 vouchers, each valued at 20 euros, which can be used as a payment method in participating establishments. This initiative, which continues to support the island's business fabric, aims to encourage consumption in proximity stores.
The vouchers will maintain municipal segmentation to ensure an equitable distribution of consumption. In Alajeró, Agulo, Hermigua, and Vallehermoso, the Cabildo's subsidy will be 60%, allowing each 20-euro voucher to be purchased for 8 euros. In San Sebastián de La Gomera and Valle Gran Rey, the subsidy will be 50%, with a purchase price of 10 euros per voucher.
