This was confirmed by Guacimara Barrera Magdalena, manager of the Health Services of the La Gomera Health Area, when providing an update on the situation of those affected. The health official also detailed that the widow of the sole fatality was discharged from the hospital and is now staying in a hotel with the other passengers, receiving support from clinical psychologists.

Two of these patients are a couple and remain together for clinical recommendation and emotional support, while the third person also shows steady improvement.
In Tenerife, of the three people admitted, two are progressing favorably. However, the bus driver, according to the manager, has a “somewhat more reserved” diagnosis.
“"The deceased's wife was in shock and was attended to with special sensitivity."
The notification of the death to the wife was made on the afternoon of the accident day, once all necessary information was gathered and in coordination with psychological support teams. The husband's body, who died at the time of the accident, was guarded at the scene by authorities and judicial police for later removal, due to legal reasons.
The widow has been accompanied at all times by clinical psychology teams and the British Consulate, which has actively collaborated in the care and follow-up of those affected. All involved parties are staying in a hotel in San Sebastián de La Gomera, where they receive medical monitoring and psychological support to manage the impact of the incident, until their return to their home country.
